QuickStart integrates seamlessly with your existing systems so that you do not have to amend your current password login system (i.e. windows domain login). QuickStart adds an extra authentication layer to your existing password login. This functionality also allows QuickStart to be used with Single Sign-On (SSO) systems that rely on the use of your existing user passwords.
To use QuickStart OTP, a user simply logs in with a username and password as normal. Once they are validated, QuickStart automatically starts the supplementary one-time-password validation. The user will receive another password on their mobile phone.
To use QuickStart MACC, again, a user simply logs in with a username and password as normal. The user then opens the MACC application on their phone using their unique PIN. The MACC will display the current OTP.
In both cases once the password is typed in and validated they’re inside. Simple, mobile and secure.
So QuickStart is just 3 simple steps --
In other words, QuickStart is a 2-factor authentication solution without the need for a separate token device.
User accounts (more specifically your mobile phone numbers) are fetched from your directory, i.e. from your Domain Controller(s). There's no need to amend any user account information such as passwords. As long as your directory accounts have a mobile phone number somewhere, they can use QuickStart!
In addition, if you want to, you're also free to use multiple directories (i.e. Domain Controllers), of any type. You may want, for example, to enable failover between your Domain Controller instances.
