HOW DOES IT WORK?

QuickStart, SafeSMS and Signature are all powered by SNES, Siltanet's resilient and scalable server backend. Siltanet's 2-factor PLUS solutions, SafeSMS and Signature, also come with the u.assure Mobile Client which provides the friendly & intuitive User Interface on the mobile phone. APPLICATION AREAS

There are basically three kinds of applications that can integrate with SNES -- VPN, Web and SAP.

The most common VPN applications are Juniper, Citrix, Nortel and Checkpoint. Web applications can either use our plugins for Citrix Web Interface (WI) and Outlook Web Access (OWA) or communicate directly through our HTTPS API (SOAP/XML). Also thanks to our SAP Certified Netweaver plugin, any SAP aware application can also integrate to SNES.

SUPPORTED SERVICES

Basically, any LDAP, SMPP, UCP/EMI, CIMD2, SMTP and SQL capable server. Therefore, SNES integrates seamlessly into your existing IT infrastructure with, for example, Windows Domain Controller forests (or any other directory implementation), centralised log databases and TCP/IP based SMS gateways.

SENDING AND RECEIVING SMS MESSAGES

The SMS messages are sent through high volume TCP/IP connections such as SMPP-TX, CIMD2 and UCP/EMI. They are not sent through GSM-modems or SMTP API's (or similar) as these types of connections are really only suitable for low volumes and for less mission critical services.
